Half-term can feel like a long stretch for children and parents alike. Some families look forward to rest, others find the break brings challenges with routines, energy levels, or opportunities for meaningful play. At OT4me, we believe that time off school is also a chance for children to connect, grow, and thrive in ways that feel fun and purposeful.
This October half-term, we are running small group sessions designed to support children with play, regulation, and social interaction, all through activities that feel like pure fun.
What to Expect
Our groups are led by a qualified Occupational Therapist with postgraduate training in Sensory Integration. Sessions have a playful theme of Floor is Lava, with opportunities for:
- Den building
- Hide and seek
- Movement and free play
Each activity is chosen to support children’s bodies and minds while giving them space to enjoy being with peers in a safe, supportive environment.
Why Families Choose OT4me Groups
🎨 Play: structured and free play promotes creativity, imagination, and joy
🌈 Sensory regulation: helps children learn to self-soothe, manage arousal, and feel more ‘in control’
🗣️ Social interaction: opportunities to practise turn taking, conversation, sharing, cooperation
🧠 Praxis and planning: supports motor sequencing, planning, and execution of actions
🤸 Gross motor skills: jumping, climbing, balancing, whole-body movement to build strength, coordination, and body awareness
By keeping group sizes to just four children, we ensure that every child receives tailored support and has the space to shine.
