Have you noticed how some places feel calm and comfortable for your child, while others can feel busy or hard to manage? The sights, sounds, smells and textures around us shape how children feel, focus and cope with daily life. Creating a sensory friendly environment means understanding those factors and making small, thoughtful changes that help children feel safe, confident and able to thrive.
In this webinar, we will explore what makes an environment sensory friendly, why it matters for neurodivergent children and those with different sensory processing needs, and how you can adapt your home, classroom or community space. You will leave with practical, easy-to-use ideas to lower sensory load, support self-regulation and create spaces where children feel calm, confident and ready to learn or play.
This session will be hosted by OT4me Clinical Director and Occupational Therapist, Lizzie Huxford.
